Currently based in Washington, D.C., Qing Hu is a journalist and audio producer. She was born and raised in Xi’an, China.
Qing stepped into the audio world by launching a chat podcast, Everyone Friends, with her six college friends.
She is a recent MA graduate from the NYU Podcasting and Audio Reportage program. She is drawn to intimate, hidden stories—especially those centered on women, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant experiences.
Previously, she worked as a journalist in China, covering daily news with a focus on consumer rights and macroeconomic shifts.
She remains amazed by the beauty of storytelling and awed by the enduring power of documentation.
